HEDGE-MONY - (The Maze) is part of the Youth Program of the Cultural
Festival of the Melbourne 2006 Commonwealth Games and Next Wave
Festival.
Performers & Production Assistants are needed to part of this visual
spectacle presented by Red Cabbage Collective. A silent mass of human
hedges, made up of over 400 performers, will converge to create a vast
army of foliage, forming a maze the audience can explore.
The event takes place on March 26th 2006, the closing day of the Games
at the Melbourne Museum Live Site. For more details or to register your

Plan – Goodwill (Charity) Partner – be a part of the first ever Commonwealth Games Goodwill Partnership! Volunteer for Plan during the Games and make a big difference to the lives of children in developing Commonwealth nations. For more information visit www.plan.org.au or call 13 PLAN (13 75 26).
Volunteering is a key community activity and many worthy opportunities exist to volunteer in the community. If you have a specific interest in volunteering, we encourage you to visit either Volunteer Search or Volunteering Australia to find out more.

St John Ambulance - we want more Volunteers to help with first aid, for information visit the St John Ambulance website or call 1300 360 455.
Tree planting - Get your hands dirty. We are looking for volunteers to help us plant trees. Planting days will be held at 11 sites across Victoria from July 2005 onwards. To become a Commonwealth Games tree planting volunteer, please register your interest on the Greening Australia website.
Melbourne 2006 Commonwealth Games Sport Development Volunteers Program...sharing sports expertise across the Commonwealth of Nations.
In the leadup to the Melbourne 2006 Commonwealth Games, the Victorian
Government is looking for skilled volunteers to work in Commonwealth
countries to provide hands-on advice and assistance with local sports
development.
If you have expertise in sport development - perhaps as a coach,
technician, athlete or administrator - you are invited to apply for one of
these volunteer positions. Your in-country involvement will make a real
and lasting difference to the sports capacity and community wellbeing of
these Commonwealth countries.
The Next Wave Festival is presenting the official Youth Program of the Cultural Festival of the Melbourne 2006 Commonwealth Games.
This involves more than 600 artists working on 70 different projects including performance, visual and media arts as well as a series of other art forms. The festival is seeking a team of volunteers to assist with ticketing, ushering, exhibition installation, gallery sitting, on the ground promotion (and more).
